Delete your account

You can delete your Marco account at any time, from the app, from the website or by email. You do not need to have the app installed. Deleting your account deletes every profile on it: your personal profile and any organizer pages you run from it.

In the app

• iPhone: open the Profile tab, tap Settings (the gear), then Delete account, and confirm with Delete my account.
• Android: open the You tab, tap Settings (the gear), then Delete account, and confirm with Delete my account.

On the web

Sign in at app.letsmarco.com/me/delete with the same Apple or Google account you use in the app. The page shows which account you are signed in to and deletes it when you confirm.

By email

If you cannot use the app or the website, write to info@letsmarco.com with the subject “Delete my Marco account”, and include your Marco handle. Before deleting anything we will ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We respond within 30 days and confirm by email when the account is deleted.

What is deleted

As soon as you confirm, your account stops existing in Marco: you are signed out on every device, and no one can see or find your profiles. With it go:

• your profiles: name, handle, photo, bio and, for an organizer page, its details and pictures
• your verified phone number
• plans you host, and your RSVPs, invitations, check-ins and votes on other people’s plans
• your friendships, friend requests and follows
• groups you created, and your place in other people’s groups
• your privacy and notification settings, and your devices’ push tokens
• if you signed in with Apple, our permission to use your Apple ID, which we revoke

The data is first removed from use, then permanently erased within 90 days. We keep it for that time only so that we can investigate abuse or answer a lawful request, and there is no way to restore an account in that period.

What is kept

• Reports and enforcement records. If you reported someone, or someone reported you, the record of the report and of what we did about it is kept for as long as it is needed to keep Marco safe, including after the account is deleted.
• Server logs. These are kept briefly for security and operations, then deleted.

Anything the app stored on your phone itself, such as its inbox, is removed when you delete the app.

If you share an organizer page

If your organizer page has other people on its team, make one of them its owner first, in the app under Settings → Organizer team, or on the website in the organizer console under Team. Marco will not delete an account while it still owns a page other people help run, so that the page does not disappear from under them.
